Hey there everyone! I'm a new member on Linux Questions, but I was an active member on the Ubuntu Forums a few years ago. I ran out of spare time to play around with Linux, so I fell pretty well out of practice with it. Just recently I started going again with Ubuntu 14.04.4. Any major changes or anything that I ought to be aware of?

Welcome aboard. I'm sure you'll quickly be back up to speed with Linux. I'm not an Ubuntu user, but I guess the Ubuntu Trusty Tahr Release Notes is worth reading for new features, updated packages etc.

Thanks a lot for the links! I'm having a few minor problems that I should be able to work out myself by the end of the day, but the biggest that's really kind of bugging me is getting the Unity program (The game designer, not the obvious other one) to install. I have the .deb package for it, but the Ubuntu Software Center doesn't seem to want to play nice with it. It'll pretend like it's installing, but then...stall out, I guess? I tried a few times last night, but not yet today.
