New Linux Student (Personal Introduction)

Hello,

I am enrolled in the Linux Operating System I class at a Metropolitan Community College campus and will be researching this site while I learn the BASH command line. Our instructor has us using PuTTY to log into the college's Linux server. Our textbook is pretty old: Linux: The Textbook by Sarwar, Koretsky, & Sarwar 2002.

I have Ubuntu loaded as part of a dual-boot configuration but I haven't done much more than give it a quick glance, yet.

Cheers,

K
