Smile New but Old

I started building computers in 1980 but did not start using Linux until 2005. Have had a lot of enjoyment trying different Distros. I keep returning to Debian. Am using the Mate DT. May switch to XFCE. My computer is a refurbished Pentium with 1.5GB memory. Looking forward to getting some questions answered.

Hah! You're a noob, 1980? I built my first comuter out of a kit in 1976.
Welcome to the forums.

Hello and welcome to the forum

In 1980 (I believe,) I was 8/9 years old and an elementary school student who had just gotten acquainted with computers by way of a Commodore PET that was stationed in the hallway just outside one of my classrooms.

You can read more about that here.

Regards...
