Migrating from windows to linux

i have been using linux for sometime on my personal computer but never used it for intensive production environment.

now i have started migrating my office computers from windows to linux.

i have 10 computers in lan and five of them are on linux (ubuntu 16.04 LTS to be precise) now.

i have therefore cross platform networking, printers and file folders shared.

faced some issues.

but after all trouble it is worth.

it is going on well. will be better.

thanks linux community.

Welcome to the forums Kulabhushan.

I've been using Linux, but as a developer for many years.

That makes is sometimes difficult when I deploy a product solution that needs to be packaged.

I find that there are some great ways to do that however and one thing I recall was our former IT guy had it all set up in a customized manner to install all at once.

Since you're deploying a whole office, you may wish to seek out some advice from forum members towards the ends of making some sort of uniform install which meets your complete requirements. I think it will be very helpful as you build and maintain systems.
