Linux rookie wanting to become pro....
Hi all,
Been using Linux on and off for a year or so and have reached the limit of what I can do without reaching out for the knowledge and expertise of the wider, smarter community.
I'm running Debian "Wheezy" and Gnome 3.4 on my main Laptop which I just changed over to a lovely little Dell Latitude E4300 (4hrs battery with Windows 7 - Test only, now getting just shy of 8hrs with debian :-)) which I'm custom painting (will put pics up if it turns out any good). I've also got a HTPC that I want to get up and running with Linux too, it's got Debian "Wheezy" but loaded XFCE (Which I normally love) but remote desktop sharing is proving to be a pain. Might switch to Gnome until I have it all running right and then have a fiddle.
I enjoy playing with Linux but I really need to take it up a notch, I'm finally memorising terminal commands and places I need to access/look to config but I still don't believe I'm thinking "LINUX" yet
Cheers to all, speak soon
