Talking Linux proficient, Forum newbie

Hi all!

Just a quick post to say hi. Im not a linux newbie, but I am new to posting on forums. Thought I may as well make LinuxQuestions my first!

I'll try and help with questions from others when possible, so hopefully I'll be of some use!

Used to be a long time Mandrake user, then SuSE, then Ubuntu, now back with SuSE. Solaris and HPUX before then. Play the odd game through Winblows, but thats all its used for, and only those games that wont work on linux through Wine or Cedega.

I'm all for Open Source, but use proprietary software where necessary. Mixed-source is good!

Jamie out.

Test Ping address misinterpreted as advertising by forum robot

I had a question on an ethernet connection, but the body of my message contained a ping readout. The forum robot interpreted this as a no-no for a first post. So here is a complaint-type first post.....
