LinuxQuestions.org - just introducing myself

I am a Linux newbie
More elaborate self description:
1. command-line illiterate - sinfully so.
2. break my system more often than not and believe in breaking it even more than I actually do currently --- well, not too badly, I mean I do love my system.
3. my educational background was in humanities and not in computer science, however I do want to do "stuff, (I can't say this any other way, no offense)" with computers. I would like to learn programming, perhaps Linux programming (maybe make it into a career, because I am interested in manipulating my system into doing stuff (sorry again) but pursue it in a professional manner (i guess, i mean a disciplined manner).
4. did I mention I was (am) a loudmouth and prone to ranting and/or rambling, kindly pardon me for my oversight (oh yeah, got bad memory too) as well as my loquacity.
