Hi all, I am new to the dedicated server game and this forum was recommended to me by the rkhunter mailing list. I will read as much as I can here before I ask my first question to get a feel for the forum. Everything seems so overwhelming with linux.

The off topic question was similar to: I am just learning how to use ssh commands and can't figure out how to get into my rkhunter config file to change the ALLOW_SSH_ROOT_USER option from yes to no as per the following email sent to me:

Warning: The SSH and rkhunter configuration options should be the same:
SSH configuration option 'PermitRootLogin': no
Rkhunter configuration option 'ALLOW_SSH_ROOT_USER': yes
