Introduction, like anyone cares, but still...

I guess all the information I feel you should know is that I live in Texas.

I've been using linux off and on since around 2001. Started with a book and a copy of RedHat 6.0, and began switching back and forth between RedHat, Mandrake, and even did Slackware for a while. Lately though I have been converted to Mepis (2004.04), their site is (since I can't post @#$@#$ urls) www dot mepis dot org, which is Debian based. After once using apt-get, I began to wonder where the hell i'd been since I first gave Linux a shot.

Linux has been primarily a toy, but now it looks as though I will be doing lots of webdevelopment on it since mysql/php/apache are so easy to setup and use on a linux box as compared to Windows 2k, which mysql hates.

I guess that's pretty much it.

Welcome aboard, eljefe. I've not had a look at Mepis yet, but I've heard lots of good things about it - and I see you've already found out about Debian's not-so-secret weapon.

Enjoy you time here, read some questions, learn some new things and don't forget to answer questions when you can. It's all about the community.
