I'm from Social Science field... Linux Ubuntu : desktop and server...
I'm a special educator. When nothing seems to behave normally and there is almost no hope, they call me.
Normally, those who work with people don't like or understand computers.
Of course, when they do have some technical problems, who do you think they call ???
My best solution is Linux. My best shot was when I installed Linux on a computer (former Windows) who wasn't able to have sound, printer and internet. Even after reformatting the whole thing. With linux it worked perfectly since then (for 2 1/2 years... for now , 24/7).
I'm interested in linux, ubuntu, perl, xml, apache and web security!!!
I use openoffice, gimp, mysql, ssh, vsftp.
After 2 years and a half, I feel like a newbie, there is so much to know...
For now , my biggest concern is intranet security.
