Unhappy Howdy

Hello, I'm Joseph Headley, an old fan of linux. I started off way back with redhat 9. I find myself working with linux, trying to find a way to make ms products work. still nothing, 'Wine' helps a little, but nothing like i'd hoped. I can do a little code, kinda' hoping someone better at linux can find a way. Seems i'm just not smart enough.

Welcome to LQ!

I only ever ran one Window$ application with wine, but it did a fine job for as long as I needed it.

To get help with your own situation it would be very helpful to list the specific things that you are trying to run. Wine is the best bet for most things, but some just aren't going to work well.

The better alternative is to find Linux native replacements for the applications that you need - but once again, knowing what those are would help someone here recommend a suitable replacement.

Good luck!
