Lightbulb hi to you all - new member

i just registered, although i've been browsing the site whenever i had probs with my OS which is UBUNTU 11.10. I didn't partition my hard drive, i just got rid of windows, which was pre-installed in my computer. Truth be said, i didn't want to erase windows, i wanted to have both in order to have a feel for ubuntu first... well, during the installation something very wrong (or very right.. happened: windows was erased and i was left with just ubuntu... got scared at first but now i'm really happy it happened otherwise my laziness would have gotten the best of me and i would have never switched to ubuntu....
