Natalie, I hope you don't mind me saying so, but could you consider stopping resurrecting old threads (and I mean years old threads, which you have just done a spate of within a matter of minutes) just to say thanks etc. It looks suspicious. Doing to that to old threads, particularly without adding any substantial new information, is called necroing, it doesn't help anybody, and is generally frowned upon.
Sorry, Hydrurga.
I just tried to be nice. I was searching for some issues and was pleased when I found them. I'll stop writing thanks immediately. Never thought that I would make apologies for just being nice. I didn't noticed they was old.
My apologies to Hydrurga and whole Linux Society.

:-D We welcome your contributions, Natalie. Necroing old threads just isn't a great idea, that's all.
I am using Linux Fedora 13 and Kali Linux(total newbie to linux and over-excited user of new operating system
You are right to be over-excited, particularly if you've migrated from Windows. It's like a whole new world opening up. It certainly was for me.
Anyway, enjoy getting to know, developing and using your systems, and if you have any problems which you can't resolve then LinuxQuestions is here. Also, after having built up some experience and knowledge, if you are able to help anyone else out here with their problems and questions then that would be great.

??? FEDORA 13???? The latest is 24...you are ELEVEN major versions behind. If you're just starting out, you'd be much better served by having the latest versions of things. And Kali is a VERY bad choice for a new user

Oh, thanks. When I was setting up my OS, I forgot to look up for updates. I just hit the download button and installed as it was due to guide. I'll update to Fedora 24 on the next week.
And what about Kali Linux? Why is it a bad choice? Honestly, I prefer more Kali, then Fedora (due to my woman aesthetics instinct).

"due to guide"?? What guide? And Fedora 13 to 24 isn't an 'update', and I don't think you can even DOWNLOAD F13 any longer, without a good bit of effort. You will have to reload your entire OS, you can't just update 11 MAJOR versions.

Kali is for network penetration testing/security testing. Really isn't for daily use.

A friend of my droped me this link for download (archive.org/details/fedora-13_release) and guide how to install. I've done all by myself.

Well, I use it for penetration, wp_security testing, and other daily basis stuff. As for me and my web-site (which I want to be secured) Kali is more interesting then Fedora. I feel more confident using Kali.

Stop where you are. Load the latest version from Fedora's website.

Don't. Kali is *NOT* for daily use, and if you try to use it on a public/Internet site...good luck.
Don't you mean I can be busted for using Kali Linux? Sounds like techno-thriller
Do what you want. Running a distro that was CREATED for network scanning/pentesting will raise flags. Running it on your internal network is great...but if you think you're going to hit Internet sites without raising alarms, good luck. You came here for advice/suggestions, and you seem to be flat out ignoring them. Kali was not/is not meant for day-to-day use, period. It wasn't designed for it.
