I tried to post in networking and got a message to say a forum moderator had to approve my post. But its been a few days now and I've heard nothing and can't see my post.
I had a look and only see this post. I have no idea what may have happened to your first post. I would suggest you try again with your first post/question.
I tried to post in networking and got a message to say a forum moderator had to approve my post. But its been a few days now and I've heard nothing and can't see my post.
Was hoping someone could let me know whats what.
Some post are flagged for mod control panel and await for the forums mod to approve. I view my panel daily and most mods do. Patience!
Hi and welcome to LQ. Yes, 'patience' (Internet Forum -volunteers- have to 'deal' with a lot of spam/etc and strange posts like "How to steal RHEL5? &wrt krnl4hmwk")
The 'suggested path' for new members is: a post on the "Intro" forum
(I'd add a bit more to "Hi", like Linux experience/interests/goals & PC/distro)
Maybe this could be moved (by Mod *volunteer*!) to "Intro" forum [edit:done! Cool!]
(esp. IF you add/post a -tiny bit- of a "Hello. My PC/distro is ...; I've used ... for ...; I want to ...")
Anyway, Best Wishes always! p.s. have a glance at my current favorite LQhowto
edit/update/p.s. I see your VPN-drop question has appeared! Looks good, except the '4letter word' ?may? have caused it to be temp blocked (LQ is a uniquely G-rated/polite site! You can use Edit if you want.) (I also noticed that the Network Forum only has 2 Mods, but that may not be how Mod@LQ works)
Thanks for the welcome guys, my intention wasn't to come across as impatient, I logged into my console and couldn't see any mention of a pending post. I wasn't sure if it actually got submitted or not.
Regardless, thanks for the help.
I've moderated a forum in the past, I know the time and effort the volunteers need to invest to keep a forum maintained. Hats off to everyone who contributes!
