Hi from another sort of newbie.
Dear folks, I have in the past worked a fair bit on Unix type OS's starting with DEC-IX/RSX-11 (yup I'm that old!) to Sun Solaris but never at guru sys admin level. I have recently decided to convert my family to Linux and have tried a few distros/flavours but settled on Debian- Ubuntu (JJ 9.04). It has worked well on the various Pc's we have - a few minor install bugs but nothing I couldn't work our for myself. Now I have a little niggle with Evolution email that I cannot fix - more on the appropriate thread -if I can find it!
