Smile Hey! Thanks for having me

Being completely Linux illiterate,I am pleased and relieved to know you are all out there. With a little luck and a lot of questions and reading,I hope to be able to to give a little something back.

So far Amigo is the only distribution I've gotten to run at all.
I've tried some others but it's a bit tough with a dead cd-r.
Oh well, figuring it out the hard way will probably be more fun (as well as educational).

Thanks for being out there.

All my best,

John (my real name )

Welcome to LQ.

I think you will find this place quite comfortable. As long as you use the search engine on the site, you will find that most Linux problems have already been asked and solved in the forums. I find it usefull when doing server installs to use the forum as a second manual.

Remember we are all s . No single person knows all about Linux, not even Linus.
