I don't really have the time to write any thorough introduction right now, but I'm posting this anyway so I'll be allowed to post a link in my first "real" post – so here's off the top of my head:
I'm a technology student trying to finish an M.Sc. thesis (with varying degrees of desperation). I am originally not much of a hacker type; I was one of those kids who loved my C64, but never bothered to fiddle around with programming Basic if you know what I mean
However I have grown more and more interested in programming (though admittedly not in Basic), partially due to my growing passion for Natural Language Processing.
Hm, that sounded fairly geeky, I guess; but in here I'd be in good company, wouldn't I?
