Hello to the Linux World.

Greetings, all:

After several years playing around with various Linux distributions and not really knowing anything substantial about any of it, I've built a new machine, installed Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex.

Ultimately I seek to completely free myself of the Windows world and move forward with open source. I seek to champion the format; it makes computing fun, again.

So, hello!

I suspect I'll be asking a bunch of lame, newbie questions, so I express my gratitude for your patience in advance.

Best wishes,
CookingRock
