I'm a working Sound/Audio engineer in New Orleans, LA.
I have recently made a very happy switch into Ubuntu Studio for my music recording needs (and this also serves very nicely to fill my tech-y computer nerds needs at the same time!
)
I have dabbled with Linux in the past and now I'm very happy to find that it has evolved to a point that meets my initial needs and even replaces windows' standard tasks pretty much completely : ) It's great to see how much the community has pushed the bar up and my only regret is not being an active member for longer ; )
I'd love to meet others of the same interests, especially those that might be in my general area!
That being said, I'm off to see if I can get my firewire interface working & up to speed (TC Electronics Konnekt Live).
