Hello, new member from Norway

Hei folks!
Greetings from Norway.

Always been lovin' opensource and startet with FreeBSD in 1998. Over the years I tried almost every available Linux distro. Ended so up with Debian which I liked best. But now that Wayland has become default on Fedora I want to give it a try. Have been dreaming of an alternative to X for 10 years or more and now that dream has come true

Since I never dropped FreeBSD, servers serving my Linux machines have allways been running FreeBSD. So please don't hate me if I may ask a question which contains the word FreeBSD.

cheers, nice to be here!
Matthias

Hi Matthias, welcome to the forum. I hope Wayland proves to be a good alternative for you.

In case you haven't seen it, Jeremy (the owner of LQ) has posted a review of Fedora 25 here.

Regards...

Oh, good news and bad news here: Good news a new member fra Norge and bad news Fedora's latest requires Wayland (not available for NVIDIA proprietary last time I looked).
Anyhow, welcome.

You'll find a BSD forum on this site. It's not Linux-only in spite of its name.
