Cool hello linuxers

i have been fooling around with various linux distros for about 2 years now. Its been a hoot. I live in mississippi and I just recently retired from the rat race. i've been a LQ member since march 2004. jeremy said that i hadn't posted to the forum yet but I have. When he
revamped the site it kicked me out and i had to reregister. I'll admit that i didn't answer any questions, but i read the forums regularly.
now to the nitty-gritty my linux box is one I put together myself. it has a biostar mb, 1 40 gig maxtor and one 20 gig western digital.
i'm running #*$-xp and zenwalk on the 40 g and ubuntu breezy on the 20 gig. I've got a 1 gig amd athalon processor and an ati rage 128 sound card. I use a HP 1210 multifunction printer. suse is the only distro that could autoconfig my psc to print and scan. (its a bitch to setup on most distros, I still haven't got it to work in zenwalk. but that ain't no big thing it works in ubuntu.

P.S. Zenwalk is the fastest distro I have tried and I have tried a bunch. RW

Welcome to LQ!

Mississippi grown here, but now living in China. Though we're still here for a visit 'til the end of the month. Got stuck on Slackware here, and suspect I'll be a Slacker for life.

Hope you can find what you're looking for here in LQ, and lend a hand to help us all out from time to time. We do get our feathers ruffled every now and then, but for the most part, this is the nicest community of nerds you can imagine.
