hi just to say hello i never did it although registered since a while

i am a regular linux user for both home and work since 2000

i have an old dell x300 with sidux :

Linux portab 2.6.32-2.slh.1-sidux-686 #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Dec 19 00:49:22 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux,

and four boxes running sidux or linux mint (i've been sometimes using debian, kanotix, kubuntu)

i was always prefering kde or xfce rather than gnome or lxde or enlightment

i was almost never using anything else but debian derivated distros
(tried but did not stuck except slax or puppy for special purposes)

i never had a brand new computer (always second hand old reconditionned)

but regularly add/increase memory / hdd

i use computers for cad, photo, music, internet, and business.

i use windows xp for ripping dvd's and cd's because it's not working
fine with linux (slowly getting better but still not sufficient to my taste)
