Hello from Vermont, USA

Hey everyone. I figured I'd take advantage of this nifty little "intro forum" (which I think is a really cool idea by the way) to just say hi. I've been using linux (not just linux I must admit ... I also run windows; mainly for gaming and some other apps.) for about 3 years now. I absolutely love linux and I love the open source community. I am very excited about having the opportunity to contribute more to it. So far my favorite distros are Mandrake/Mandriva and Ubuntu (havn't finished downloading the new Debian but I really want to check it out ). So yeah I'm a bit of a distro fanatic. I love checking out new distros that seam really cool. My friends rag on me for it because (and of course I do agree) they always tell me ... "Linux is just Linux man they're pretty much all the same and you can do everything in one distro that you can do in another". BUT... I love aesthetics and I love checking out all the little nuances and approaches in all different distros. I've pretty much been obsessed with running linux on my laptop since March 2005 (purchased the laptop in end of February). So anyway...just wanted to introduce myself. A goal of mine is to really become a relevant member of this community. I'd love to be involved in this.

Hi and welcome to LQ I, too, have tried a number of distros and have been ragged for it. But we have the last laugh as we get to experience all the distro-y goodness
