Cool Hello from Panama

Hi, I'm an elder geek living in Panama.

I've been using my first Linux--Ubuntu--for not quite two years. I had a prior life as a programmer on UNIX boxes: Ultrix, SunOS, Digital UNIX, Solaris.

Lazy, I suppose, I waited to switch my home boxes from MS until the installation was "piece of cake" and the desktop was inviting.

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 on one machine, 10.10 on another and UbuntuStudio 10.04 on a third and building Ubuntu boxes for others.

Initially--after a layoff of eight years from *NIX--I felt like I was drinking from a firehose with Linux. Things have settled down quite a bit and I feel a lot more comfortable dealing with issues that come up.

Anyway, greetings!
