Hi there, my name is Mark. I'm a relative newbie to unix/linux.
I've quite a lot of experience programming and using PCs with the OS that should not be named...and I work as a network consultant for a large financial institution, though sadly, I rarely get my hands dirty these days.
I've just started setting up my Ubuntu (Feisty) desktop system as an IMAP mail server using Fetchmail, Procmail and Dovecot. Configuring Dovecot is causing a certain amount of angst...so I'll be searching the archives to see what's needed to get it working on the localhost and a laptop on a private network....
I've found the config file for Dovecot takes a bit of reading and it will take a while to get my head around it. So...watch this space for a bunch of (probably) dumb questions!
