I'm retired five years from AT&T IT Research and Development Division in Middletown NJ. Some of the things I did were PC support for all employees in my division including software developers (UNIX HP & SUN workstations). I also did Systems testing in our labs. When I decided to take early retirement I was doing Production Application support for our major Business Applications. I've stayed away from all this the past few years but I thought it was time to get back to what I like. So I've joined the forum because I'm sure it will be quite helpful. Looking forward to doing a lot of browsing around here.
Welcome aboard edv727. Sounds like a great gig. I had a prized AT&T mug back at my old job, and when people asked me about it, I said that it was a reference to the research labs that had invented UNIX. Even though the entire company ran Linux, nobody ever seemed to get the reference. *shrug*
Anyway, LQ is a great place. I learn a lot here, and I look forward to seeing your posts in The Future!
