Hello, all at LinuxQuestions.org

I am a new slack user, after spending a small number of years in the ubuntu wilderness. Pre that, i have used suse and feodora i also once installed LFS (took me 2 months of head banging to get that to work)i never went onto BLFS mainly as i had a soar head at this point. i still have my LFS 5.0 build on a disk though.

My background is in what used to be Novell, where i worked in a 3rd line support role since 2x days and i continued up to and including 6x. Where i eventually specialized in Zenworks and some aspects of the IDM suite.(xpath was just a step to far for me).

i enjoy playing around with various os's and have just recently installed 13.37, where i came by this site to solve a niggly issue with my sound and flash. Turned out to be that alsa had decided my usb Mic should be the first device in the list easily solved simply unplugged the mic rebooted, not before i had gone through every alsa based config file on my system however.

Thank you LinuxQuestions i was probably not a million miles away from a rebuild.

Anyway thats me
