Hello! A physicist working with Linux: not an expert, but eager to learn from experts

Hello everybody!
I am a physicist and I have worked in computing for 3 years now. I work in Grid computing applied to particle physics.
I already have some experience with Linux, but still so much to learn! I am sure this forum will be of great help! Thanks in advance to all the experts that spend some time answering to less expert people!
