Hello

Just wanted to introduce myself. Im from South Carolina, USA.
I have been exposed to computers since the late 80's when I built my first PC running DOS. Over the years I have built many computers to install the newest version of Windows as they became available. At first it was no more than a glorified menu frontend and I often just used the command line. As time went on Windows became more 'user-friendly' and my command line skills became rusty to say the least. I discovered Ubuntu by accident several years ago and installed it on an old computer because the Nvidia drivers were not available for my current system. Once the drivers became available I set up a dual boot system and use Ubuntu far more than Windows. I formated the old computer and installed the latest version of Ubuntu Server and Nginx. I joined this forum hoping that I could find help/advise with running a server since I am not real familar with the linux command line.

Thanks.

Hello and welcome.

If you know DOS then you have a very good start. Almost all you know there is useful in command line for linux. Just translate concepts.

Sounds like you have it well in hand too for linux.
