Hello from the Deep South (Alabama).

I have been using Ubuntu Feisty Fawn for about 3 months. I have it on my ThinkPad T43 (from work) and also on my homebuilt desktop (that is down due to some bizarre restarting).

I am anxiously awaiting the release of Gutsy Gibbon this month (well at least this month in 1 hr 20 mins).

I am a Linux n00b and I am in IT. I want to focus my career on Information Security and I feel that proficiency in *nix is a necessary skill that I need to learn.

Just found LQ and am excited to start going through it and being a productive member of the community.
