great site- wicked fast replies

hi, i'm len, and i've been at the forum a bit w/ o a hello as a new member. hello, and many thanks to those that gave wicked fast replies to my questions. this site has one of the fastest rates of reply that i have ever seen. many thanks to the considerate helpful people that have lent some helpful advice.

i was confronted by some linux a'holes at first, but that's somewhat expected. must be a by product of genius, and staring at code all day. also about the only way they can vent their frustrations in an acceptable manner. rip the noobs- go f*ck yourselves a'holes!

anyway, great site for the fast replies. i'll use my ignore button a little more in the future (haven't used it yet) for the ass rip types. the last thing i will do, is become like them, because i was treated like that.

oh, and the way the site is set up, i need to keep logging in in order to post. hey if it's done on purpose...???

If you want to stay logged in then go to the user cp -> Options:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...on=editoptions

Then set the second and third options to yes. Note that you will need cookies to be enabled in your browser.

dave, thanks for the reply. the second is to automatically log in when visiting the site, which i don't want to do, and the third is to enable cookies. enabling cookies should be adequate to allow a person to move around the forums, while staying at the site, and remain logged in. i have cookies enabled. is this a work around, because things aren't correct. i've been to other forums, and just had enable cookies selected, and automatically log in set to no, and once i log into those sites i remain logged in, unless i close the window i'm viewing the forums in. perhaps this is vbulletin problem?

If you don't choose to login automaticaly then you will need to login to post.

yeah i log in, have cookies enabled, and my sessions time out really fast as well. no automatic login- i wipe all my cookies out (but not while in a session).
