Good time to everybody
 
Hi folks,

my name is Dirk and I live in good old Germany in the near of Bonn.
I studied Informatics from 1991 to 1996 and made a lot of experience in all kinds of hardware. Since Linux came across my way in 2000 I run differnt kind off servers based on this OS.

Actually it is a Dual Pentium II 350, 512MB, 2x AHA2940UW SCSI,
5x 18GB HDD, 6x SCSI-CD in 19" rack-cases.

Nice toy ;)

It's nice to have a new user with linux experience.
I'll be the first to ask you a direct question: I'm a bit surprised at your server hardware. Why a dual PII 350 instead of a single faster processor?

@linmix: The hardware was in range - so I buildt a system from it. Thats all.
