Getting on board

Hello

I'm a Linux newbie, but I worked with Unix in the last century, on machines like the DEC PDP-11 and AT&T BB3, and later on some HP boxes. I've used Windows since 95 for music production, and have recently set up Ubuntu Studio on a "retired" IBM NetVista, but haven't actually done anything with it yet.

Looking forward to participating here.
