I've just registered here and would like to say hello to everyone. I've been using Linux for a few years now after being introduced to it by my Dad.
I find Linux to be rather exciting and I look forward to a future with Linux, I'm hoping one day to make my PC a Linux-only machine (hopefully gaming will increase in the future). It seems everyday I learn something new.
At the moment I'm using Redhat 8 and Mandrake 9.0 and I look forward to upgrading both of these to 9 and 9.2 respectively soon.
Just like you, the only reason why I keep Windows is for games.
But unlike me, if you have a fast CPU, you can install Wine in order to play win32 games.
Hi everyone. I'm a new member too. I'm a bit like both of you. I'm from Australia too. I began using Linux after being introduced by someone else (in my case, my studies). Now I use Linux a lot. I'm keeping Windows for "legacy support", but I plan to run all my new PCs on Linux. I also don't have a very fast machine.
Edit: Though i'm a new member, I've been browsing these forums for sometime, and I've used Linux before that.
