Its my very first experience with Linux and never before had any relationship with Linux the moreso that i have no knowledge about programming. But I wanted to master it and setting up my own network using linux and do my own programation.

My questions are how/where do it start and what should I do?

Hey there, me and you are almost on the same boat. Today is kinda my first real-experience with linux (although I played with it few times in the past)

I would suggest you get a beginners book, (search amazon there are alot over there) and get LinuxCBT by Dean Davis. this CBT is very good.
good look on with journey..

It should not be a problem to work with linux without programming experience, but might indicate that you should stick to the friendlier distros (at first?).
