I am very excited about delving into the LINUX world. I have read volumes about the OS, but never took the first step. I have been in the IT industry for 18 years. Started with BSD (not the free one) and Solaris in the Navy, then drifted from UNIX entirely. My long term goal is to start my own MYTHTV network at the home. I suppose I have a long way to go before that is accomplished :)

I hope to get over the little humps that LINUX might throw at me using this forum. I'm glad there are recourses for us *newbies* out there who don't have any guru's to converse with.
