Blind leading the Blind

I am brand new to linux, i ahve installed redhat a couple of times but ushualy uninstall it after a week. This time i downloaded fedora and am hoping to get more firmiliar w/ linux.
Anyway, i am trying to get my wife and a couple friends to start using linux as well so i'll have alot of questions.
