Hi!

I'm an IT consultant versed in Windows and Networking. I've always been interested in Linux, but I recently got thrown into a client whose environment is pretty much 80% RedHat. My passing interest suddenly requires a lot more knowledge, fast! I figured I'd better make some friends and get involved in the community in case I needed someone to help bail me out of a problem.

Anyway, this is also my first IT-based forum join so I'm looking forward to interacting with everyone here.

Hi and welcome to LQ!

I hope you get along with Linux and other Free Software without a lot of trouble. Interest is always welcome, there is good documentation on how stuff works, and even the source code of the programs is publicly available!

Have fun, all the best,

an LQ member and convinced GNU/Linux user.

iglablues,

welcome to LQ and to RH & Linux in general! I think you'll find most folks around here are very helpful, and we do our best to help each other out. Golden rules: Try to help yourself a little first, tell us in detail what is the problem and what you're trying to do to fix it-- and be patient when waiting for replies, though usually there's someone around before too long, who knows something about what you're asking

Your networking skills & knowledge are a welcome addition too.

Enjoy the forums.

Sasha
