Ancient Newbie

I am 75 years old and have finaly dumped everything to do with Windows which I have used since launch. Previous to that it was MSDOS and its competitor DRDOS and before that mainframes and Midi's.

My main interests are Web Design and Music recording ( I have a purpose built home recording studio).

As you can imagine I am struggling to learn (re-learn) terminal commands, finding and installing available software etc but in one week I am suprised by what I have achieved. I am reading everything I can find and will only post to this forum when I have exhausted all other resources.

I am using Debian Wheezy and have the good fortune of having a friend who has been usng Linux for many years
