FSTAB and TRIM


I did some checking on TRIM for SSDHD's.

It seems you need to add the following to each partition on an SSD so that Linux TRIM's the drive:

discard

I do wonder though if it makes any difference should you use discard on every drive, not just only ssd's.

Also, where can I get a list of FSTAB hacks? It seems that people could tweak their fstab to suit a particular need.

Out of curiosity, will Linux need to be messed with if you use a built in hardware RAID on a motherboard?

And how will Linux handle the new 'bios-less' motherboards??

What is these lines 0 and 1 at the end of line meant for?
