Hi everybody,
I have a problem bringing my WLAN card alive in Fedora. There are lots of tips and guidelines out there, but from the ones I've found so far they're either very 'messy' and 'unclean' (meaning I didn't even try them to see if they actually work) or they don't work with my 64bit kernel. On top of it, my WLAN router requires 128bit WEP authentication.
I have (for the record) tried the linux-wlan (
www.linux-wlan.org) project drivers, and that doesn't work as far as I can tell.
It's quite urgent that I get this up and running, and I would truly appreciate all help.
Details worth knowing (This is information that I think is needed. Please don't hesitate to ask for more details if it's needed to work out a solution.):
Laptop: Acer Aspire 1501LMi with AMD Athlon 64 bit 3000+
WLAN Card: 802.11g mini-PC Module
WLAN Card Manufacturer: Broadcom
WLAN Card Chipset: BCM4306 / BCM2050
System: Fedora Core 2 x86_64 - clean and full DVD install
Kernel Realease: 2.6.5-1.358
Thank you very much in advance.
