wireless sniffer like stumbler for mn720 on fedora core 3

Hi all.. I got ndiswrapper going for a Microsoft MN-720 wireless card on a dell c610. I have Fedora Core 3 and it works fine and all but how do I get something like kismet or any other stumbler or wlan sniffer working with this network card. I know that the Microsoft drivers may not be supported for kismet and similar programs but does anyone know anything that could help?

I tried using the iwlist command like so --> 'iwlist wlan0 scanning' and all I get is my current connection. I wanna see what other wlans are around me...you know...for research purposes.

I've also tried -->'iwspy wlan0' and it says that the interface is not supported. Does my card have to be in promiscuos mode to do this? Is this even possible with this card?

Anyway..I'll try and stop sounding stupid and wait for any advice...it would be greatly appreciated :)
