Wireless on Toshiba A35-S209 w/ Atheros AR5001x+

Hello, i am installing mandrake 9.2 on a Toshiba A35-S209 with the Atheros AR5001X+ minipci card. I did i search for the drivers and found "madwifi" on sourceforge but there was nothing to download and when i found another place to download the RPM I apparently didnt have the right kernel version for it. The other place i found the drivers were on "team.vantronix.net/ar5k/". I downloaded these drivers and tried to install in a similar manner as i had done on another laptop i have, but with a different wireless card that i sucessfully got working, but i cannot get the module to load. I get IO or IRQ errors. I also did not find any installation inscructions with either of these files. So if anyone has sucessfully installed the atheros ar5001x+ on mandrake 9.2, installation instructions would be much appreciated, or any help for that matter.

Using kernel 2.4.22-10

Thanks in advance

TM

never mind, i got my atheros ar5001x+ to work after a whole day of messing with it. I used the madwifi drivers. I also noticed works right out of the box if you use the latest version of knoppix "Knoppix V3.4-2004-05-17". If you are looking for the madwifi drivers you can get them from http://madwifiwiki.thewebhost.de/wiki/FrontPage

good luck.
