Im having problems getting wireless to work on a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo LI1818 laptop with Fedora Core 11 installed.
I used to have XP installed and wireless worked ok, the switch is a Netgear DG834G.
Basically, ive installed the sis163u driver and ndiswrapper which both seem to have been installed and configured correctly. Ive googled and read but nothing seems to get the wireless working.
Ive pasted some output below in the hope someone will be able to assist. For info, everything works well when I connect a cable to the Netgear and plumb an IP on the Fedora OS.
Thanks in advance...

[root@localhost network-scripts]# iwconfig lo no wireless extensions.

I've got one of those laptops too and its definitely a sis163u chip, and you definitely need ndiswrapper. I had some problems getting it to run in my chosen distro (slackware), although I got it to work with on everything else I tried. See http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hlight=sis163u
I think its a bit temperamental. I ran out of patience and bought a stick.
