wireless not working after disabling from networkmanager applet in fedora 15 and b43
hi all
i am using fedora 15 on laptop hp6515b and using lxde desktop. i disabled wireless on the laptop by clicking on "enable wireless" option in network manager .. now i want to start using wireless again can anyone please suggest me how to get it working i have tried restarting NetworkManager rebooted the laptop install b43 drivers again cheers |

If you disabled the wireless adapter in Network Manager. By reversing the process you used to disable it, you should be able to re-enable it. Have you tried re-enabling it in Network Manager? |

ok finally i found it and for anyone who has same issue u can try the same
i installed rfkill rfkill - tool for enabling and disabling wireless devices then i checked " rfkill list " output and it said # rfkill list 0: hci0: Bluetooth Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no 1: hp-wifi: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: yes Hard blocked: no 2: hp-bluetooth: Bluetooth Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no and here i noticed hp-wifi softblocked yes next i did rfkill unblock all and then i got the icon for enable wireless in network manager thanks to all for their support cheers |
