Question Wireless(ipw3945) refuses to connect

I have a Dell Inspiron e1505 running Fedora Core 5 with ipw3945. The drivers are installed correctly and are working fine. However, I cant connect to my router. I have tried WPA, WEP and no encryption and in no case will it connect. Even when I completely open my router up(no encryption, no mac filter, ssid broadcast), it still will not connect. Has anyone had a similar experience and perhaps a solution? Thanks for any help. This is my last hurdle before I can start enjoying linux.

How can you tell that the drivers are working if it won't connect?

Did you get your drivers from here, http://ipw3945.sourceforge.net/ or from ATRPMs, or where?
