backtrack:banghead::banghead::banghead:
If you are going to use an Operating System EXPLICITLY designed for "network penetrating" ( AKA "site cracking") and "Computer CRACKING "
-- hopefully used legally --

then YOU need to do a bit of research on its use
it was never intended for new computer users .
you might want to read the bt web site

read the forums also

Connect to a wired connection and issue the following commands as root:
Code:

apt-get update
apt-get install firmware-b43-installer

or, if you have the low power version of that chip,
Code:

apt-get update
apt-get install firmware-b43-lpphy-installer
