Wireless interference from cordless phone
Hi everyone,
My linux box disconnects from the network every time someone uses a cordless phone in the house. My mac has an option called "interference robustness" that negates the problem for it. I wonder if there's something I can do in linux to get around the issue. Alternatively, if no such thing exists, can someone direct me to a place where I would learn how to write a script that runs every 5 minutes, checks whether I'm connected to the network, and if not, restarts it? Cheers, Paul |
I had 2.4GHz phones and my connection would drop whenever the phone was in use. I tried switching frequency ranges on wireless router and on the phone with little luck, I have heard of some people having luck with this.
I chose to just use 900Mhz phones and have had no interference at all. |
Using the 5.4 ghz phones also works...thats what I did.
