wireless driver for Netgear HA311 ( Atheros chipset ) - 802.11a

Hi,

Does anybody have any beta or any info regarding wireless driver for Netgear pci adapter HA311 ( 802.11a ) , they are based on Atheros chipset( hope so!). I don't mean just for Netgear, more for Atheros (802.11a) chipset since they are used for 5GHz

I read a lot on this site: (very useful info)
http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux/,
here they say that the person gave up on this project. Does anybody has any beta version or something like that.
I posted few feedbacks for Netgear, but who knows when they will post their linux driver.

Any feedback appreciated.

I am considering even buying some 802.11b card just to have mobility for linux
short tips

I am using Mandrake 9.0

Regards,
Marijan

Hi,

This is the only site that posts any kind of update regarding the driver.

http://team.vantronix.net/ar5k/

The latest version is vt_ar5k_20030130.

I could run make and etc., but I couldn't load it or use it so far.

If anybody has any feedback with usage or any other feedback regarding installation, please post it.

Marijan
