Wireless card setup, but cannot connect to internet

Hi,
I have installed a Linux Fedora Core 5 on my Laptop. The kernel version is 2.6.15 (i686). I have a Speedtouch 121g wireless USB card. I was successful in installing the drivers using 'ndiswrapper 1.22'.
I am able to setup the wlan0 device using the 'iwconfig' command. I am able to see 100/100 signal strength. The IP address is displayed and the wireless card is associated to my wireless router. However, I am unable to connect to the Internet using the wlan0 device. A ping to my router IP address does not return any data.
When i use the System -> Administration -> Network utility and try to activate the 'wlan0' device. I get the following reply
"Determining IP informatin for wlan0... failed; no link present. Check cable?"

Can anybody help me out on this?

Thanks

Did you try all of the instructions from the ndiswrapper wiki:

http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/m...gure_interface

When I set up my wireless, dhcpcd wlan0 is an especially important command to run. That might help, assuming that you acquire your IP address through DHCP.
